6-16-14 Love is an open door!

Well family, I love you all. But especially daddy this week. HAPPY PAPAS DAY!!!!! We ate papas fritas in remembrance of you, don't worry. :)
I don't have much news for THIS week, I was staying with other sisters Monday through Wed while my comp was in Lima. BOY I missed her. I love that lady. You will all meet her someday. :) I already made her pinky promise.
The sisters I stayed with for a few days!!
The other day, I heard many motos honking and I looked up to see what all the ruckus was about. Turns out there was an old man on his bike pedaling SOO slow, leading the way for all the cars. It was sooo funny. And awesome. What a guy.
Also, on Pday last week we all made food and watched a pelicula as a zone. I was just sittin' and talking with some elders and one turned and pointed at me and said to me, (idk where he is from, but he isn't from the states) "You are FAT!!" Well, thanks elder. Haha I am learning something really important, Charity never faileth... ;)

Our Saturday night movie and food ;) hahaha (rice in a leaf with chicken and the movie john tanner)
Everyone look up the Hymn 233 "Nay speak no Ill" (Tommy and I talked about this hymn during church a few years ago, random thought) Anyway. It's SO good. Especially to help us remember not to gossip and to think kindly of others :)
The other day, we were waiting outside the chapel to teach a family of investigators (family malpartida-- gelman, geral, margod y cecilia) and we saw an explosion in the sky and the WHOLE cities lights went out!!! For more than 2 hours. We had to stay at the chapel until 9 and then they had some sacerdotes walk us home to be safe. But it was a pretty exciting night because everything was SO dark and we just got to teach a lesson with an emergency light in the chapel. But this family is doing SOOOO good. Please pray for them :)

Also!!! Last week was the baptisms. Again, I am totes out of time. But they were AMAZING!!!! First time I have EVER had the non-member moms come to their child's baptism. Sad but true. It was beautiful. And feliz.
I love being a missionary!!!!!!!!! I know I say that almost every email. But it's because I really, truly do. Con todo mi corazon. I want you all to know that I know that our Savior lives and loves us. This week, when you're sad, down, alone, troubled, in pain or any other emotion, smile. Just smile because you have a BROTHER and best friend who knows. Exactly. Who walked in your shoes and paid for all of your pains for YOU. Not just your sins. So when you feel alone, remember, please remember, YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. Like ALLI Lovell said in her email, Christ literally CANNOT forget us because we are engraven upon his palms. We are continually before him. Every time he looks at his own hands, he remembers each of us. His love is unimaginable, but it is REAL.

I love getting to help others feel the love my Savior has for them. I am sorry if before my mission sometimes I made any of you feel bad or didn't show you enough love, patience and kindness. I WILL be better. You all mean the world to me. Thanks for being the BEST family and friends a girl could ever ever dream of. Love you most.
