Maddy on a Mission: 1-20-2014 I'M A REAL MISSIONARY NOW!

First off, sorry this is so short, time FLIES!!! Please always email me (and if you haven't yet, do) because even if I don't have time, I print off emails and read them later! I Love doing that.

Okay so guess what!? I guess I am a real missionary now because I GAVE A TALK! With very little warning. For 7 minutes. That was fun! In spanish by the way, did I say that? ;) Two people came up to me after and told me that I sound latin when I speak, I know they're just being nice, but it really does boost your confidence!!! And now I won't have to do that for at least a few weeks ;) It honestly wasn't that bad. I just always pysch myself up (like most of you know haha)

My companion Hermana Rhoten can read my mind, and I hers, its realllyyyyy helpful in lesson, and in every day. I love it! And her!! So I have been a little bit sick that last few weeks (DON'T WORRY) and so we were at a members house eating and she was telling me a perfect way to fix my stomach. I just have to pee into my hands and rub the warm pee all over my belly,. it will relieve gases......oh my gosh. I had the HARDEST time not laughing, because, are you serious!? But they will get offended if you do because "IT REALLY WORKS!" there are TONS of weird remedies like that one. The other thing she made me do on my already pained stomach was drink a HUGE glass of disgusting hot tea for your belly. It;s not really anything for that, but they think so...haha it was very funny. Needless to say...that didn't help it. ;) Well, I am out of time!! I am so sorry.

We had a GOLDEN investigator this week. I am VERY excited for her. We are teaching her mom and sister now too. Her name is Mercedes and she fed me pina. I Was very happy. I wll let you know how everything goes with her! Also Jordan's mom's baptism is this week (pilar!!) we are SO excited!!! I have more but no more time. Lo siento. :)

I'm sorry this is so short, I just usually write this first, and this week I read emails first. ...oops.:)

I love you all. This church is true. The atonement REALLY truly happened and it can fix and heal and change ANYONE, no matter how far gone you think you are. I am watching it make miracles happen EVERYDAY on my mission. Investigators who haven't come for years returning, people who don't know God developing testimonies, etc.... let it change and heal and fix you. I love this gospel, and I sincerely LOVE being a missionary. EVERY. Single. Day. Even when its so hard and you just want to cry, I sometimes smile thinking about how blessed I am for having such AMAZING friends and family and the knowledge that my savior lives. Please expiremnent on James 1:5 if you dont know for yourself that God LIVES and loves you and sent his son to live and die for YOU that he may know how to succor you. Have a GREAT week!!!
