Maddy on a Mission: 3-31-14 How many people did you help?

Familia!!! Dont have much to say today.... Kind of a hard, uneventful week. But! I am excited for this coming week. First, I am going to Lima for 3 days (that's why I am writing early) then, I have two days to work HARD with my companion, then GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!! I am SO excited!!! It will even be in ENGLISH!!! Please, everyone. Watch it. It is modern day SCRIPTURE and a prophet called and ordained of God will speak, along with his chosen Apostles. Try as HARD as you can to watch every single session. It will bless and change your life if you apply what you learn. :) As you can see, I am a little excited. (Becca and anyone else, you know how I would say little. ;)) Well what else...?

Soy Latinga. :) My comp and I decided we are that. Part latina, part gringa. She is working on a little english, and me spanish of course, so we are LATINGA! haha Also, Dearelder.com WORKS!!! It only takes 2 weeks to get here :) Hand written takes 4. So of COURSE I like hand written more, but if you don't have money or don't want to wait, I will accept those ;) Please write me. I haven't received a letter since January or Feb, and for those of you who know me well know I LOVE letters and writing them. So do it. Please. You will receive blessings by supporting a missionary. :)

People have asked me at least 4 times this week what country my dad is from? Haha and that mom is so young. So I think those are compliments? :)

Is there a type of tool or something that counts miles that you can send me? I want to see how many miles we walk a week :) haha I'm sure it must be like.... 10000 ;)

So every month we have to memorize a scripture. This month is Mosiah 2:41. One of my favorite scriptures!!! I am so excited to do this one. Would you guys like to do it with me!? English or spanish, no importa. You have till the end of April. Whoever emails me and tells me they did it will receive... idk yet. Maybe something from here or a letter. :) Ready... GO!

Women's conference was SO beautiful. It inspired me to make sure I am always doing everything in my power to honor my covenants, and to not judge others, be more kind, and serve everyone. If you didn't get to see it, go watch it, its SO worth it. And being somewhere else in the world made it a little more emotional and real too. I love it. I love learning and growing and changing. Even when its hard. And trust me, sometimes it is (I'm a little stubborn ;)) but I know with God, I can do it. All that he requires of me. This week I went on divisions and I was able to teach some super amazing spiritual lessons with Hermana Chire ( I sent you a pic with her before) she is so cool. Anyway. One awesome lesson was with a menos activo and he hasn't attended in many years. He has some doubts and things that have made him leave (for now) while he was talking, I flipped open my scriptures to share something with him, but had NO idea what to share... I saw a scripture and decided, THIS ONE! But I didn't know why. After he read it, he said "how did you know I needed this?? how did you know its exactly what I needed to hear" I then was able to testify to him that God knows him and wants him to be happy and that we were there to help him *(and other things I don't remember) he told us that that was the first time in YEARS he had felt the spirit. So awesome. I love teaching and being a missionary!!! I have to go. :(

In reality, you can never love the Lord until you serve him by serving his people."I know this church is true. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for letting me be on a mission HERE, in Peru. I love it. Even when it's hard and I want to give up, I remember that with the Savior, I CAN DO ALL THINGS. Let this change you and lift you to do the hard things in your life. I love you all. Have a FANTASTIC week, I know I will! :))
