3-24-14 "For you Id become a brother"

FAST!!! I don't have much time.

Monday we ate completos. Which are just SUPER long sandwich hot dog things from Chile.

For FHE we went to a members house (they are SOOO funny and awesome.). The dad started the whole thing with saying, "apart from being beautiful young and here to serve the Lord, what else can you tell us about yourself" (kind of awkward) haha. But I told them I used to play(ish) the guitar, and they brought out a guitar for me to play!!! unfortunately it wasn't tuned and I never really learned how to (darn internet!!). I was a little lot sad, and they even had a capo!! Next time maybe...the father said something that I really liked. He said when he is going through a hard time he always thanks the Lord for trying him. I thought that was SO interesting. I don't think I have ever, at least, during a trial, thanked Heavenly Father for giving me it. I decided to start doing that. They really are always for our good and benefit!! Also, they have the movie aunt Kim is in!!! They didn't believe me that we are related, but I have a photo with her! So I'm a little famous here I guess... or aunt Kim. ;)

This week, I want to tell you all how really incredibly grateful I am for you. I have the BEST family and friends in the world. I truly believe this. Each person who has come into my life has taught me something, made me happy, and supported me. This week I thought a lot about each of you. Like, one by one (lots and lots of names ;)) But I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for all of you. THANK YOU!!!

Right now, I am learning two languages. Peruvian spanish and mexican spanish. It's surprisingly different! SO many words. Haha its hard, but fun! And I live next to mexico so that's chevere!

So my compliments for the week: One of our investigators told me I had his cats eyes.... thanks? Then he was like, "NO! theyre clear and beautiful... and nice" hahahah. Thank you. Also a random man yelled at me that he would become a brother for me (baptism) Well, great!!! If that's all it takes, right? ;)

Oh yesterday, we got to take out the stitches from my comps mouth!! And I say "we" because I got to help!! I don't know if that would ever be allowed in the states.... but it was fun! And also a little gross. ;)

I also gained a strong testimony of two things this week: Of the truthfulness of our patriarchal blessings as we live worthily and angels here on earth. :) Something kind of scary happened this week with us (DON'T WORRY!!!! nothing big) but enough to scare me. And there is a part in my patriarchal  blessing that says I will have angels walking with me from day to day protecting me. I truly believe we were protected this week and that that is true. I'm sorry if that doesn't make much sense, I'm just running out of time :/

I love you all. I pray for you each every night. (specifically and in general) I KNOW this church is true. I KNOW Jesus lived and died for us and lives now. He is our friend, Savior and brother. I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true and answers to all of our questions can be found if we will truly study it. Prayer is a POWERFUL tool. I know that here in Peru right NOW is where I am supposed to be. Even when its super hard and I have a stomach infection (like this week ;)) I love it. I love this gospel. I know that it is only through this gospel that we can find true and lasting happiness. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love love love,
