2-17-14 Insert clever title :)

So this week, I don't have too much to say! I think I was feeling sympathetic for all of my sick family members, because I also got sick. :) I am feeling a lot better now, but still recovering. But don't worry! We still worked hard everyday, like a missionary should. :)

Some items of business first: I have 2 bags full of tshirts at home, PLEASE make sure they stay safe and not thrown away! I want to make a blanket when I get home :)

So something me and my companion always do (especially at night, when there are drunk men about) is knock on our door while I unlock it, then we loudly say"HOLA! Coma esta!" To the fake people inside our house. You know, for protection.

So this week I have been breaking out on my face, and we went to visit a menos activo and she told me my skin was intoxicated. So I asked her why, and she told me it was because I was eating too much fried eggs and fish.... Well, if only she knew that I haven't eaten a fried egg in WEEKS, and I haven't eaten fish in YEARS. hahaha. It was sweet of her to give me advice though ;) They have all sorts of good advice for health here! I am writing a list of them in my journal so you all can read them when I am home. :)

For Valentines day, I made my comp a pretty card and she decorated my bed :) It was so nice!!! We didn't have much success with lessons that day because everyone was busy... but to keep ourselves entertained while we walked and contacted was counting couples. It was pretty funny and also made me reallyyyy happy to be a missionary. Boys are gross. Teaching the gospel is better. ;)
Speaking of Valentines, I want you all to read 1 John 4 in the new testament. I had never read it before, but I absolutely LOVE it. And its very fitting :) Also, I studied Alma 38 on Thursday, and that is such a good chapter of advice and words of strength. Everyone should read it, and make a plan to apply it to their lives. :)

So for everyone who has served in places with dogs, did you develop a hate for them?? They are ALWAYS barking and fighting and other things. All hours of the day. It makes me sad because I used to love them, and since I am a missionary I am trying so hard to stay loving them... but man. That is a trial I have... hahaha.

On Pday we watched Wreck it Ralph as a zone!! It's pretty funny in spanish, but the voices are just not the same. It felt really weird watching a movie too.. I am not sure if I like that we are allowed to do that... but a lot of latinos never get to see these, so its happy for them:)

We had a VERY special lesson with Jenny this week. She is progressing GREAT, but has a lot of trials and struggles and has had a VERY hard life. In this lesson, she had a personal question that was very hard for us to know the answer too... we were able to find several scriptures though that did answer it, and bare testimony. I felt Gods love for her SO strongly and knew that she is doing what He wants. On Sunday she said that she feels in her heart that baptism is right and she needs and wants to be baptized!!! So we are planning it for this Sunday. Setting up baptisms are a little tricky here and she still has fears, so please pray for her! We also have a sweet boy Named Angelo who may be baptized Saturday :) He has a VERY strong miedo of water, but we are hoping to get him there soon. :)

I am out of time this week, but both Grandpa Leif and Leif wrote me and I am SOOO happy!!! I will try and answer them next week!! If anyone else would like to email me, I would LOVE it!! I always print the long emails and read them throughout the week. They are a great support and help me keep from homesickness. :)

I love you all!!! I love serving my Heavenly Father, in sickness and in health. :) Make this week a strong week and let people know you LOVE them!!!
